COTS - Surrogacy in the UK

Please note that the Straight List Closed. We are very sorry to have to announce that, as from today (May 25th 2010), we are unable to accept new enquiries from couples wishing to do straight surrogacy (using the intended father’s sperm and the surrogate’s own egg) because the current waiting list is too long and the availability of straight surrogates is too limited. We will review the situation in December 2010 when we hope things will have improved.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE CAN NO LONGER ACCEPT COUPLES FROM OUTSIDE THE UK
	COTS was founded in 1988 and now has over 750 members. We celebrated our 600th surrogate birth in 2007. It is run without financial gain by people dedicated in helping others through surrogacy.
	COTS is NOT an American style commercial surrogacy agency. Our prime objective is to pass on our collective experience to surrogates and would be parents, helping them to understand the implications of surrogacy before they enter into an arrangement and to deal with any problems that may arise during it.
	Membership fees contribute to the administration and day to day running costs of COTS. These fees would need to be higher were it not for the generosity of our members who have given or continue to give donations. Anyone wishing to join COTS please see our membership page for more information. Intended Parents and surrogates who do not join COTS can only be supported through our message board and only in Public Forum this is just for general information etc.
	A wide range of support and advice is available to COTS members.
	Triangle is a splinter group of COTS and it is they who put surrogates in touch with intended parents.
